Organic Olive Oil Olive oil has been used on the skin for centuries. It is rich in vitamins and unsaturated fatty acids that can soak up free radicals. Recent work has shown that it can have a protective effect against UVB in sunlight. Even though olive oil’s benefits have been enjoyed for thousands of years new uses continue to be found for it. The main emulsifying agent we use in our creams is derived from olive oil. We use it because it matches the structure of the oils found in the upper layers of the skin – this means it doesn’t interfere with the skin’s natural barrier function.
